Finally, Nongunz is a uniquely haunting 2D roguelike platformer. Meanwhile, The Forgotten City is a first-person adventure game based on an award-winning Skyrim mod of the same name. Age of Empires 4 is a PC exclusive, while American Nightmare and Backbone are only on consoles. Accompanying it is the newly released Age of Empires 4, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Backbone, Bassmaster Fishing 2022, Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, and The Forgotten City. Project Wingman is one of seven games added to Game Pass on the 28th. Hopefully, the console port will be similarly successful on Xbox Game Pass. It was also the #2 best seller on Steam the day after release, surpassed only by pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077. Sector D2 seems to have succeeded at his goal as the indie air combat game enjoys a respectable 75 on Metacritic and “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. The developers hoped to create a well-polished single-player experience that’s easy to get into while still offering a challenging and action-packed adventure. The developers describe Project Wingman as an action game rather than a hardcore flight simulator. Project Wingman also includes a rogue-lite Conquest mode that sees the player expanding their zone of control over a map of Cascadia. Players take the role of a mercenary fighter pilot hired to aid the United Cascadian Republic in their war of independence from the Australia-based Pacific Federation. Developed by Australian studio Sector D2, Project Wingman takes place in an alternate Earth where the discovery of a resource called corium has altered the course of human history. That changed today when a completely unannounced Xbox port appeared on Game Pass. While it first arrived on Game Pass in July, it was still a Windows exclusive.
Humble Games initially released Project Wingman for PC in December 2020.
This includes one surprise PC title that just landed on consoles. And while games occasionally disappear from the service, including several that are leaving Game Pass after this month, new titles are added regularly. The Xbox Game Pass library seems to get bigger every day.
